What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser so it can recognize the browser on the next visit. This policy also covers similar technologies such as local storage.
Cookies we set
| Name | What it does | Type | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| ms_session | Keeps you logged in. It holds a random token; your account details stay on our servers | Strictly necessary | 30 days, renewed while you use the app, removed when you log out |
| ms_oauth_tx | Protects Google login from forgery while you're on Google's page | Strictly necessary | 10 minutes |
| ms_known | Set after you log in or sign up, and kept when you log out: when you open a link to the app while logged out, it shows the login screen instead of sign-up. It holds only “1” and doesn't identify you | Strictly necessary | 400 days |
| ms_promo | Only when you open a link with a promo code: keeps the code so it's added to the account you create. Removed once it's used | Strictly necessary | 7 days |
| ms_theme | Remembers whether you chose the dark, light or system theme | Preference | 1 year |
| ms_optin_ask | Set when you answer “Not now” to the new-looks email question under your first photo, so we don't ask again. It holds only “1” | Preference | 400 days |
| ms_consent | Remembers your answer to the cookie banner, so we don't ask on every page | Strictly necessary | 1 year |
| ms_vid | A random visitor ID that records the first page and campaign that brought you here, so we know which channels work. It isn't shared with anyone | Measurement | Up to 12 months |

Cookies set by others
When you pay, you're on Stripe's checkout page, where Stripe sets its own cookies to prevent fraud. If you log in with Google, Google sets cookies on its own pages. Their policies apply: Stripe and Google.
We don't use advertising pixels, social media trackers or third-party analytics. If that changes, we'll update this page first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Your choices
Strictly necessary cookies can't be switched off without breaking login. We set the ms_vid measurement cookie only after you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner — wherever you are — and we treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a “no”. To change your answer, use “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page; choosing “Reject” removes ms_vid. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
