AI photo template · from 1 photo

Your kid’s birthday shoot: balloons, a cake smash or a party.

Little girl with curly dark hair in a blush tulle party dress laughing with her hands in her lap in a pastel balloon studio, a giant gold foil number 4 balloon floating beside her

Example result. Yours is made from your own photo.

A bright birthday photoshoot of your kid from one photo: a pastel balloon studio with giant number balloons, a messy cake smash, a sunny garden party under bunting or a cozy pajama party in a blanket fort. Type the age they are turning and it appears as foil balloons or candles. Your child's face, hair, smile and age stay exactly as in the photo.

How to make a kid's birthday photoshoot with AI

For a kids birthday photoshoot without a studio booking, upload one photo of your child to Kid's Birthday Photoshoot and choose a scene: 1 photo per run on any plan, and new accounts get 3 free photos. The result is a bright, photoreal birthday picture in a pastel balloon studio, at a cake smash, at a garden party or at a pajama party in a blanket fort, with the age they are turning as foil balloons or candles if you type it.

  1. Add a daylight photo to Photo of your kid with the face clear and only your kid in the frame. A checkbox before the run asks you to confirm you're this child's parent or guardian.
  2. Type the age they're turning in digits, or leave it empty. Choose a Scene and an Outfit: Auto, Dress or Shirt.
  3. Press Create (1 photo). The picture lands in My creations, ready to print or to drop into an invitation.

What stays the same as in your photo?

The template is written to keep your child's face as it is: its shape and fullness, freckles, dimples and teeth, gaps included. Hair keeps its length and texture, so fine straight baby hair gets no curls. Nothing goes on the head (no party hat, crown or hair bow), there is no makeup, and every outfit covers the chest, tummy and back.

The age is drawn one balloon or candle per digit. Two early runs on our synthetic test kids went wrong: one drew 77 for a 7, and one drew a 1 balloon for a toddler when no age was typed. After those fixes the ages 5, 7, 10 and 12 came out exactly, and an empty field now means no digits anywhere, never a number guessed from how old your child looks.

What can you use it for?

  • A birthday picture for the invitation, made weeks before the party.
  • A first-birthday cake smash photo without frosting on your rug.
  • A yearly series: the same scene every birthday, each with the new number.

Which photo of my kid works best?

  • Pick a photo where your kid's face is fairly large. In the balloon studio the face fills about a fifth of the picture height, so a far-away shot leaves little detail to copy.
  • Use a smile from this year: gaps and missing front teeth are kept.
  • For a baby, set Outfit to Dress or Shirt yourself. Auto guesses from the photo whether your child is a girl or a boy and picks the dress or the shirt version, and with babies that guess is unreliable.
  • If your kid wears glasses every day, upload a photo with them on: glasses stay exactly as they are.

What goes wrong most often?

  • Uploading a photo with a sibling or a parent in it. The scene shows one child only, so crop the photo to your kid first.
  • Expecting number balloons in every scene. Only the balloon studio uses foil balloons; the cake smash, garden party and pajama party put the age on number candles.
  • Expecting a HAPPY BIRTHDAY banner, a name or a cartoon-character theme. The picture has no words and no licensed characters.
  • Planning to use the pajama party as a Christmas photo. The fort is kept free of trees and holiday decorations; Kid's Christmas Portrait is the holiday one.
