AI Dating Profile Photo

AI photo template · from 1 photo

A natural candid for Hinge or Tinder, like a friend took it.

Candid phone photo of a laughing man in his early thirties with short dark hair and stubble, in a navy knit sweater, holding a latte at a wooden table in a sunny coffee shop

Example result. Yours is made from your own photo.

A dating-app photo that looks like a friend snapped it on their phone: you laughing at a coffee shop window, on a hiking trail, with a friendly dog in the park, on a rooftop at dusk or between bookstore shelves. Your face, hair and build stay exactly as in your selfie, so the person who shows up to the date is the person in the photo. No glossy retouch and no props that oversell.

How to make dating app photos from one selfie with AI

To make AI dating profile photos that still look like you, upload one close-up selfie to AI Dating Profile Photo and pick one of five scenes: 1 photo per run on any plan, and a new account gets 3 free photos. Each run returns one candid that looks like a friend took it on their phone. Your face, hair and build come from the selfie; only the place, the outfit and the light are new.

  1. Put a recent daylight close-up in Your selfie: just you, no sunglasses, no beauty filter. Wear your hair as you would on a date; length, parting and even messiness are copied.
  2. Choose a Scene: Coffee shop (the default), Hiking trail, Park with a dog, Rooftop at dusk or Bookstore. Press Create; one run costs 1 photo and makes one photo.
  3. Repeat with other scenes (one selfie covers all five), keep the results that feel most like you and mix them with real recent photos.

What stays from your selfie, and what is made up?

Everything about you comes from the selfie: face, skin, age, hair, any beard, glasses, freckles and scars, and your real build. The template is told not to slim you, add muscle, strengthen your jaw or whiten your teeth, and to keep a headscarf, hijab or turban as worn. What it invents is the moment: the place, plain clothes that suit the scene, and soft available light with portrait-mode blur, never a flash or skin smoothing.

Status props are ruled out: no luxury car, designer bag, expensive watch, money, alcohol or cigarettes, and no added sunglasses or hats. Nobody else is in focus beside you, and cups, book covers and signs stay plain, so no words or logos show.

What can you use it for?

  • A first photo for a profile of mirror selfies and group shots where nobody can tell which face is yours.
  • An outdoor or evening picture (Hiking trail, Rooftop at dusk) when all your real photos are indoors.
  • Replacing an old profile picture with one that matches your current haircut.

What does an example run look like?

  • AI-generated sample input: front-facing selfie of a man with dark brown skin and a short fade haircut in a white T-shirt

Laughing man in a navy T-shirt crouching on park grass at golden hour, one hand on a golden retriever's chest
    Result
Park with a dog, made from the synthetic test selfie on the left. Same face and short fade; the navy tee, park and dog come from the scene.
  • AI-generated sample input: front-facing selfie of a woman with chin-length blonde hair in a navy top in a kitchen

Smiling woman in a denim jacket on a rooftop at dusk, holding a glass of sparkling water with lime under string lights
    Result
Rooftop at dusk, made from the synthetic test selfie on the left. Eyes, freckles and hair length match; an earlier version left the glass almost empty, so the drink is now a fresh one.

Which selfie gives the most natural dating photo?

  • Use a selfie from the last few months. Age, skin and hair are copied from it, so an old photo shows someone your match won't meet.
  • Comb your hair before the selfie if you want it neat. In an early test a man's tousled hair came out tidier than in his selfie; the template is now told to keep the same fringe and flyaway strands, though in some scenes hair can still come out a touch tidier.
  • Take off a cap unless you always wear one. The template never adds headwear, but a cap in your selfie can stay on and hide your hair.

What goes wrong most often?

  • Picking Park with a dog when you have no dog. The golden retriever comes with the scene; for a photo with your own pet, use Me and My Pet.
  • Posting a Free result straight to the app. Free photos are full size but carry a watermark; the Weekly Pass ($6.99 a week) and every higher plan remove it.
  • Expecting a studio headshot. These are slightly off-center phone candids by design; for a polished set of work headshots, Headshot Studio makes a professional set.
