AI photo template · from 1 photo

You as a painted collectible figurine on your desk, box and all.

Painted collectible figurine of a smiling bearded man in a denim jacket on a clear round base on a desk, its illustrated display box with the name LEO behind it and the grey 3D sculpt on a monitor

Example result. Yours is made from your own photo.

The viral 3D figurine trend from one photo: you as a hand-painted 1/7-scale collectible figure on your desk, in your own outfit and with your own face. Its display box with original artwork stands behind it and the grey 3D sculpt is still open on the monitor. Pick a clear acrylic base or a sculpted diorama, and put your name on the box if you like.

How to make a 3D figurine of yourself with AI

To do the AI figurine trend with your own photo, upload one picture of yourself to 3D Figurine of You: 1 photo per run on any plan, and a new account gets 3 free photos. The result is a product shot of a hand-painted 1/7-scale figure of you on a wooden desk by a window, with an illustrated collector's box to its left and the gray clay sculpt on a monitor to its right.

  1. Upload a waist-up or head-to-toe photo to Your photo, one person, face clearly visible. The figure wears this exact outfit, so pick the clothes you want sculpted.
  2. Set the Base to Clear acrylic (the default) or Diorama. In Name on the box, type up to 14 characters, or leave it empty for a box with no lettering at all.
  3. Press Create (1 photo), then zoom in on the box and check the name letter by letter before you post.

What does the figure take from your photo?

The figure is sculpted as a portrait: face shape, eyes, brows, nose, the way you smile, skin tone, age, hairline and hairstyle, plus glasses, a beard or freckles. It keeps your real build and adult proportions, never a big-headed toy, with the satin sheen of painted plastic. Clothes are copied garment by garment with sculpted folds. If the photo stops at the waist, plain trousers and shoes that suit the look are added.

What our test runs still show: in roughly one run in three the monitor carries a blurred sculpting-program toolbar, with no readable words. Colors can drift a little. The typed name was spelled correctly every time it was printed, often in capitals; one earlier version left it off the box entirely.

What can you use it for?

  • Joining the figurine trend on your feed without writing or testing a prompt.
  • A matching set with your cat or dog: Pet 3D Figurine stages the same desk scene for a pet.
  • A birthday post with your own name printed on the box.

What does an example run look like?

  • AI-generated sample input: waist-up photo of a man with short dark hair and stubble in a light blue shirt on a street
    AI-generated sample input
Painted figurine of a man in a light blue shirt on a clear acrylic disc, a box reading MAXIMILIAN RAY behind it
    Result
Clear acrylic base with the name Maximilian Ray, made from the synthetic test photo on the left. The photo stops at the waist, so the trousers and shoes were added; a blurred copy of the name sits on the box side.
  • AI-generated sample input: woman in an oatmeal sweater holding a coffee cup at a cafe table by a rainy window
    AI-generated sample input
Painted figurine of a woman in a knit sweater on a wooden-floor diorama with coffee beans, a box reading SOFIA behind her
    Result
Diorama base with the name Sofia, made from the synthetic test photo on the left. The cafe became a wooden floor with coffee beans; the sweater shifted to gray-beige, and the cup appears only in the box art.

Which photo makes the best figurine?

  • Pick a head-to-toe photo if you can. The figure then copies your stance (in our run a hands-in-pockets pose came through); from a waist-up photo the legs and shoes are invented.
  • Put the phone down. If you hold a phone in the photo, the figure's hands come out empty, so a mirror selfie loses its gesture.
  • Choose Diorama when the place in your photo matters. It rebuilds a slice of it in miniature, such as pavement with a curb or a gravel park path; a photo against a plain wall gets wooden boards or a rug.
  • Keep the name short for the biggest letters. Fourteen characters fit across the box's top band, and a long name may wrap onto two lines.

What goes wrong most often?

  • Wearing a T-shirt with a big logo or slogan. Logos and words are left off every garment, so the figure gets a plain shirt in the same color.
  • Hoping for your job title and a blister pack. That layout belongs to Action Figure of Yourself; here the figure stands unboxed beside its box.
  • Uploading a photo of two people. Only one figurine is made.
