Golden Hour Photo Collage

AI photo template · from 1 photo

Nine poses in warm window light, set as one 3×3 grid.

3×3 collage of nine golden-hour portraits of a young man with thick dark wavy hair and a small hoop earring in a plain black T-shirt: looking up into the sun, smiling, in profile looking down, glancing over his shoulder, a close-up, a hand in his hair, head tipped back with eyes closed, a clean profile and a hand at his chin, window-frame shadows on a cream wall

Example result. Yours is made from your own photo.

A 3×3 collage of nine portraits made from one selfie, all shot by the same sunny window: you looking up into the light, smiling at the camera, in clean profile, glancing over your shoulder, with a hand in your hair or near your chin. Low warm sun, window-frame shadows on a plain wall and a plain dark T-shirt in every frame. Your face, hair and skin tone come from your photo.

How to make an AI photo collage of yourself

For an AI photo collage of nine poses that all keep your face, upload one close-up selfie to Golden Hour Photo Collage. It returns a single 3:4 image cut into a 3×3 grid: the same low window sun in every frame, window-frame shadows on a cream wall and a plain dark T-shirt, with you looking up, smiling, in profile and with a hand in your hair. A run costs 1 photo on the Free plan.

  1. Add a close-up selfie with your hair in view: two frames put a hand in it and one tips your head back, so a cap or a hood leaves those frames little to show.
  2. Press Create (1 photo). Nothing to pick: the nine poses, their order, the window light and the T-shirt come with the template.
  3. Check the two profile frames and the head-back frame at full size before you post: side views are where a face drifts from the selfie most easily.

Why does every frame look like the same afternoon?

The grid copies a format that spread as a Gemini prompt: nine portraits of one person by one window, all lit by the same low sun. The poses always come in the same order, left to right and top to bottom, from looking up into the light to a thoughtful hand near the chin, with the head tipped back and the eyes closed in the bottom-left frame.

The wall carries the clean grid of a window frame, straight bars and panes only. In our first runs the shadows mixed in shapes like leaves, and the head-back frame was shot from below, straight up the nostrils; the template now asks for plain panes and an eye-level, three-quarter view of that frame. Your face, hair and skin tone come from the selfie, while a printed top or a headscarf in it gives way to the plain dark tee.

What can you use it for?

  • A carousel of nine: crop the frames apart and post them in the grid's order.
  • A profile picture chosen from nine angles of one light instead of one lucky selfie.
  • Several matching shots for an app profile that asks for more than one photo.

What does an example run look like?

  • AI-generated sample input: front-facing selfie of a woman with long curly copper-red hair, dense freckles and a paisley headscarf in a tan suede jacket at a flea market

    Result
Made from the AI-generated test selfie on the left: her curls, freckles and green eyes carried over, while the paisley scarf and suede jacket gave way to the plain tee. This run predates the eye-level wording for the head-back frame, so her head tips back only a little there.

How do I get a better result?

  • Use a selfie with your hair the way you usually wear it. It stays loose in all nine frames, with its own length, cut and color.
  • Pick a sharp, unfiltered close-up. Nine small faces leave less room for detail than one large one, so a soft or beautified selfie shows faster.
  • Face the camera straight on in the selfie. The profiles and the glance over the shoulder are built from that one view.

What goes wrong most often?

  • Expecting nine outfits or nine rooms. The format is one setting: the same window, wall and tee in every frame.
  • Uploading a group photo. The grid repeats one person nine times, so crop to your own face first.
  • Cutting the frames apart off the lines. The gutters are thin and straight; cut along them and each frame keeps its 3:4 shape.

What you need

  • Your selfie

Close-up in daylight, one face, your hair visible. No filters or sunglasses.

Works well

  • Your face close to the camera, looking straight in
  • Daylight from a window in front of you
  • Only you in the frame

Avoid

  • Sunglasses, masks or hair over your eyes
  • Beauty filters and heavy edits
  • Dark rooms and photos taken from far away
