Your pet caught in the most human moment of the day: sitting on the toilet in a cozy bathroom in round reading glasses, giving you a deadpan look over the morning paper. Pick a newspaper with a made-up headline or a glossy magazine. It is a photoreal, family-friendly joke with nothing crude in it, and the face, fur and markings stay your pet's.

How to make a bathroom portrait of your pet with AI
For an AI pet portrait for the bathroom wall, upload one photo of your dog or cat to Pet Bathroom Reader. It comes back as a photoreal picture of your pet sitting on the toilet like a person, small round glasses low on its nose, giving you a deadpan look over the morning paper or a glossy magazine. One picture costs 1 photo on the Free plan, and a new account starts with 3 free photos.
- Upload a close-up in which both eyes are open and sharp. The joke rests on the stare over the glasses, and the eyes keep their own color.
- Choose the Reading: Morning paper or Glossy magazine. There is nothing to type: the masthead and headline follow the kind of animal in your photo.
- Press Create (1 photo) and read the paper first, since it is the part most likely to need a second run.
What did testing change in the picture?
The pose took the most work. Two early test runs drew a fifth paw, so the prompt now allows one pose: seat down, lid up behind the back, front paws on the reading and both hind legs hanging side by side, like a person on a chair. The next three runs, on a white cat, a golden retriever and a French bulldog, each had exactly four paws.
The rest keeps the joke clean: the reading is held low over the lap, and the prompt keeps the inside of the bowl out of view and rules out a plunger, toilet brush or clothing. A brush still slipped in behind the toilet in two test runs, so that corner now holds a basket of towels.
What can you use it for?
- A framed print above the toilet in a guest bathroom.
- A housewarming gift for a friend whose dog clearly reads the news.
- A Monday-morning post: the look over the glasses needs no caption.

Glossy magazine, made from the synthetic test photo on the left. The made-up Good Boy Gazette title and the 50 BEST STICKS cover line are spelled right.
How do I get the deadpan stare right?
- Use a photo where your pet faces the camera. It peers over the glasses straight at you, and a side view leaves the far eye to guesswork.
- Long, fluffy coats are fine. Our long-haired white cat kept its fluffy hind legs and tail hanging over the seat, and below the paper there was only fur.
- Take the collar off before the photo if you don't want it in the picture: in one run our black Labrador kept its collar.
What goes wrong most often?
- Hoping to put your pet's name or your own headline on the paper. There is no text field; the words are fixed per animal so they come out spelled right.
- Keeping a result where the paper opened up. It should be one folded front page, but several earlier runs drew a two-page spread, and one lost the headline. Run it again if that happens.
- Wanting a costume rather than a toilet joke: Pet in Character dresses your pet as an astronaut, royalty, a rock star or a chef.
