AI Winter Photo Trend: Snowy Night Portrait From a Selfie
Winter Fairytale Portrait · AI photo template · from 1 photo
Heavy snow, festive lights and a faux-fur coat: your winter fairytale.

Example result. Yours is made from your own photo.
A winter fairytale portrait from one selfie: you on a snowy old-town square with a Christmas market glowing behind you, heavy soft snow falling, a touch of cold flush and your breath in the frosty air. Pick a plush faux-fur coat (with a matching hat for her) or a long wool coat and scarf. Your face and skin stay yours, and there is no text in the frame.

How to make the snowy winter portrait with AI
To do the AI winter photo trend without writing a long prompt, upload one selfie to Winter Fairytale Portrait and pick a coat. It costs 1 photo per run on any plan, and new accounts get 3 free photos. You get a close night portrait cut at mid-chest: heavy snow at every depth, flakes in your hair, a small cloud of breath, and a Christmas market on an old-town square melted into warm bokeh behind you.
- Upload a close-up selfie in daylight to Your selfie. Your face, hair, glasses and build carry over; the coat, the night and the snow come from the template.
- Choose the Outfit: Faux-fur coat is the default, or Wool coat & scarf. Men automatically get the menswear cut of the one they pick.
- Press Create (1 photo). The portrait lands in My creations, ready for a post or a card layout.
What do the coats look like up close, and why don't men get a hat?
On women, the faux-fur hat sits on the upper forehead, clear of the brows, with hair showing at the temples; our first runs pulled it down to the brows. Both women's outfits add cream knit gloves, and a gloved hand may hold the collar closed. Under the coats go turtlenecks: cream with the women's wool coat, dark under the men's shearling, navy under the charcoal overcoat.
Men get no hat in either outfit: in our runs a round fur hat didn't suit men, and a knit beanie slid down to the brows and hid the hairline.
What can you use it for?
- A December profile picture: your face fills about a third of the frame width.
- A Christmas card photo with no lettering anywhere, so your greeting is the only text.
- The first cold-weather post of the season, made in October from a summer selfie.

Wool coat & scarf on the final prompt, made from the synthetic test selfie on the left. Her freckles and hair length carried over; the market is mostly blur, though two soft tower shapes show at the top right. - AI-generated sample input

Faux-fur coat, men's version, made from the synthetic test selfie on the left, before the last background fix: the twin towers behind him are still sharp.
Which selfie works best for the snow portrait?
- Wear glasses in the selfie only if you want them in the snow: the template is set to keep glasses, a beard and stubble exactly as they are.
- Put on the makeup you want before the selfie: the portrait is told not to go heavier than your photo, and the cold adds at most a faint pink to the nose and cheekbones.
- In one run a tied-back puff under the women's faux-fur hat came out as loose curls. The template now asks for tied-back hair to stay tied back, but we haven't re-tested it; Wool coat & scarf has no hat if you'd rather not risk it.
- Deep skin tones stay as deep as in the selfie. The warm market light is told not to lighten or warm the skin, and on both of our deep-skin test faces it didn't.
What goes wrong most often?
- Expecting to show off the whole coat. The frame stops at mid-chest, so only the collar and the scarf make it in.
- Hoping for a famous square behind you. The template asks for a blurred background with no readable signs and no recognizable building, though tower shapes still show in both examples below. For a snowy scene that stays sharp, try Snow Globe Portrait.
- Using a selfie with a big open-mouthed laugh. The portrait sets a soft half-smile with parted lips for the breath cloud, so the laugh is lost anyway.
