Example result. Yours is made from your own photo.
Pick a Halloween costume and get a photo of yourself already wearing it: a witch, a Y2K vampire, a zombie bride or groom, a glam skeleton, an angel or a pirate, at a flash-lit house party, on a candlelit porch or in a foggy forest. Your face, build and skin tone stay yours, and costume makeup never hides who you are. Add your partner's photo for a matching couple costume.

How to try on a Halloween costume with AI
To try on a Halloween costume before you buy one, upload a waist-up photo to AI Halloween Costume Try-On, pick one of 9 costumes and a scene, and you get a photoreal photo of yourself already wearing it. A run costs 1 photo on the Free plan, and a new account's first 3 photos are free. Costume makeup is painted onto your own face, and an optional second photo adds your partner in the matching costume.
- Choose a daylight photo of just you, face clearly visible. Waist-up is the safer start: the template moves closer on a full-length photo, and our full-length test came back framed from the knees up.
- Pick a Costume (Witch by default) and a Scene: "House party, flash", "Spooky porch" or "Cursed forest". For a couple costume, add your partner's photo, taken with their consent. Then press Create (1 photo).
- Save the picture. For a second costume, keep the photo, switch the Costume chip and run it again.
What went wrong in testing, and what was fixed?
Every costume has passed at least one run on an AI-generated sample adult, but the first version got several things wrong. Party guests with clear faces stood behind the person. The Y2K vampire came out as a red-collar Dracula and shaved off a man's stubble. The forest looked like a painted backdrop with lanterns hanging from nothing, one woman's freckles turned into an even grid of dots, and the idol demon hunter held a glowing blade.
The current wording fixes each of those: the party is shot against a wall before any guests arrive, the vampire wears a leather duster with tinted oval sunglasses pushed up on the head, the lanterns stand on the ground, freckles stay scattered instead of forming a grid, facial hair stays as in your photo, and the one sword stays sheathed. Small props can still turn up unasked: our witch came back holding a broom.
What can you use it for?
- Choosing between a witch and a vampire before you spend money on either.
- Settling a couple costume argument with one picture of you both.
- A Halloween profile picture with no costume to buy, rent or wash afterwards.
What does an example run look like?

Result
Glam skeleton on the spooky porch, made from the synthetic test photo on the left. Only half the face is painted; the freckles on the other half are scattered, not in a grid, but darker and more numerous than in the input. - AI-generated sample input

Idol demon hunter on the porch, made from the synthetic test photo on the left: one sheathed sword, both gloved hands empty, a touch of silver glitter by the eyes.
Which photo gives the best costume picture?
- Use a recent photo that shows your hair and any beard as they are now. The hair keeps its color and length (only the styling changes, and a hat or hood may cover it), a beard keeps its shape, and none is added to a clean-shaven face.
- For the couple version, give both photos the same waist-up framing. You stand side by side in the same costume, each in your own version of it, so a witch gets a warlock beside her.
- Pick the scene for the light on your face: a hard 2000s on-camera flash at the party, warm candlelight against blue dusk on the porch, one handheld lantern in the foggy forest.
What goes wrong most often?
- Uploading a group photo. A second person can only come from the partner slot.
- Uploading a child's photo. This template is for adults; Kid's Halloween Costume is the one for kids.
- Expecting gore or a revealing outfit. Zombie makeup is a light ashen dusting with no blood, and every costume has long sleeves, a high neckline or a long hem.
